My Goal as Clerk
My goal as your Clerk is simple: to make sure the Clerk’s Office works for the people it serves, prioritizing fairness, accuracy, and respect.
Every day, people interact with the Clerk’s Office during the most important moments in their lives. Some are navigating the court system, others are requesting records, filing paperwork, or may be seeking assistance with protective orders, which will help them through the most difficult situations they may ever face. I believe everyone deserves clear information, patience, privacy, and to be treated with dignity. Every single time.
Elections are a responsibility the Clerk takes seriously, even though voting and voter services are handled in a separate elections building by trained elections staff. I aim to ensure elections are conducted lawfully, transparently, and with integrity, and that voters’ questions are answered accurately and professionally by the team dedicated to that work.
I want the courts to run smoothly, records to be accurate and secure, and every dollar handled responsibly. I want staff to be supported, well-trained, and empowered to serve the public with confidence and professionalism.
Most of all, I believe the Clerk’s Office should be accessible and approachable, not intimidating or confusing. My goal is to listen, follow the law, pay attention to the details, and serve with consistency from day one.
Serving as your Clerk isn’t about politics. It’s about responsibility, trust, and public service. That is the standard I am committed to bringing to the office every day
What the Clerk's Office Does
The Clerk’s Office plays an important role in the daily life of our community. We administer elections with care and precision; maintaining voter registration records, preparing ballots, supporting poll volunteers, and working to ensure every eligible voter has the opportunity to participate in a secure and fair process.
We also support the courts by maintaining official records, processing legal filings, and managing case information. This work is essential to preserving transparency, accountability, and the orderly administration of justice.
Residents rely on the Clerk’s Office for certified copies and official documents. These records, validated with the Clerk’s seal, confirm authenticity and legal standing.
Our office also serves as a point of payment for court-related obligations, including child support, traffic citations, and court-ordered judgments.
I believe public service should always be professional, responsive, and courteous. Every person who interacts with the Clerk’s Office deserves to be treated with fairness, patience, and respect.
Positions and Priorities
Election Integrity & Voter Confidence
I am committed to administering elections that are secure, transparent, and accessible. Every eligible voter deserves confidence that their vote is counted accurately and handled according to the law and without politics influencing the process. Trust in elections begins with strong procedures and clear communication.
Professional, Efficient Service
The Clerk’s Office should be organized, responsive, and prepared. I believe in clear processes, attention to detail, and staff who are supported and trained to do their jobs well. People should not feel frustrated or confused when interacting with county government.
Respect for the Courts & Public Records
Courts and records affect real lives. I will ensure filings, records, and court-related services are handled accurately, timely, and with respect for confidentiality. The Clerk’s Office must be a reliable partner to judges, attorneys, and the public alike.
Transparency & Accountability
Good government earns trust by being open and accountable. I support clear information, easy access to public records as required by law, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.
Listening & Service
I believe the best public servants listen first. Whether someone is voting, filing paperwork, or asking a question, they deserve to be heard and treated with respect. I will bring a calm, solutions-focused approach to the Clerk’s Office, ready to serve on day one.
Political Affiliation
Indiana state law requires candidates to declare a political party affiliation when running in a primary election. I am a Democrat, and I am proud to participate in the democratic process.
At the same time, the duties of the Clerk’s Office are administrative and governed by law. As Clerk, my responsibility is to serve every resident fairly, accurately, and without political bias. Elections, courts, and public records must be handled professionally and impartially, regardless of party affiliation.
My commitment is to the law, the integrity of the office, and the people I serve.
Candidate Background
I am a wife, a mom, and a proud MiMi and I believe good government should be steady, fair, and rooted in service. Family has always been at the center of my life, and it’s shaped how I approach my service to the public. Patience, responsibility, and care for others are the pillars I live by.
I’m running for Clerk because this office assists people at some of the most important moments in their lives. From elections to courts to public records, the Clerk’s Office must be accurate, transparent, and welcoming. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect and to leave knowing their business was handled correctly.
I bring a strong respect for organization, accountability, and doing things right the first time. I’m ready to serve on day one, with attention to detail and a commitment to listening. The best public service starts by hearing people out and following through.
This campaign is about trust, service, and making sure the Clerk’s Office works for everyone.
